As parents, we may feel extremely frustrated when our baby is crying and we cannot understand why…
Thankfully there is a way to learn and understand what your baby is trying to tell you.
Each baby is born with several newborn reflexes… some of which affect the way they cry.
A very talented Australian opera singer, Priscilla Dunstan, was able to identify 5 different crying sounds… and unlock their secret meaning!
Her discovery was actually studied across the world and confirm that, all newborn babies (0-3 months of age)… actually speak the same language 🤯
With a bit of practice, you too will be able to identify and understand what your baby is trying to tell you.
Here are the 5 sounds that Priscilla detected:
- Neh – Hunger
- Owh – Sleepy
- Heh – Discomfort
- Eair – Lower gas
- Eh – Burp
Now… the best way to learn these sounds… is to hear them for yourself. 🎧 😉
Here is a hilarious interview between Priscilla and Oprah, where she reveals and explains each of them: https://youtu.be/afMNp6Q4u7s
Be sure to track when your baby cries to spot any patterns.
For example, maybe your baby gets:
- Overtired and needs to go down for a nap
- or gets hungry after a certain amount of time between feedings
- or tends to get gassy at certain a time of the day
ParentLove’s dedicated Crying activity has been designed to help you capture all the important details and spot patterns.
I hope you find this fascinating newborn language as helpful as my husband and I did… it really changed the game for us!
Lots of Love & Happy Parenting! 💕
