Make room for your routine
Many thoughtfully designed tools. Only the ones you choose in your Favorites.
Your activities, your view
During onboarding, only Diaper Change is preselected. Choose your other activities, and your Favorites home screen contains those choices—not the whole catalogue.
Glance automatically shows activity tiles for activities you’ve recorded; unused categories stay hidden. You can also adjust filters and the time window.
Less retyping for repeat bottles
With bottle defaults on, the last amount and contents carry over. From Favorites, open Bottle Feeding, check the values, then save an unchanged repeat entry. Adjust anything that differs, or change your defaults in Settings.
Shared care. Your own login.
Bring together separate caregiver accounts and access permissions, shared configuration and reference data, active timer handoffs, and shared reminders with each caregiver’s own notification settings.
Caregivers can use iPhone or Android. Cross-device updates need connectivity; offline entries sync after reconnecting.
Reminders that follow your day
Use daily or activity-based recurring reminders, keep them private or share them, and choose your personal notification windows. Add up to two alerts—or keep a reminder without notifications.
All Feedings can combine breastfeeding, bottles and solids. Pumping reminders can use the last pumping or breastfeeding session.

01:32 — Favorites: choose your activities
The first thing you will see is your "Favorites" (tab), which you can customize for quick access to the activities that suit your needs. Select from a wide variety of activities, such as Feedings, Diaper Changes & Sleeping, to your Baby Care items, like Bath Time & Massage, as well as Health items, ranging from Doctor Visits and Illness tracking to Supplements. You can also select your Reports & Tools for quick access.
We've designed ParentLove to make recording activities simple, quick, and intuitive.
02:06 — Record a diaper change
Want to record a diaper change? Tap the "Diaper Change" icon. You're now in "Add New" mode. The Date & Time default to now. 02:28 — Glance: recent activities and totals
"Glance" is a quick and easy way to get an overview of your baby's daily routine, broken down by activity. You can easily glance at the last time an activity took place, how long since it last occurred, and view overall totals. You'll always know.
02:47 — Record a bottle feeding

Time for baby to go to sleep? Let's start a sleep timer. You guessed it, let's go back to Favorites, then tap Sleeping. Now tap start to "START" the timer. ParentLove is the only app that lets you start a timer on one phone and pause or stop it on another. This makes sleep tracking much easier when taking turns.
03:43 — Pause and resume sleep interruptions
Uh-oh, what if baby wakes up in the middle of the night? Well, ParentLove can't help with putting baby back to sleep, but it can help with tracking their interruptions. Simply go back to Sleeping and "Pause" the timer. Pausing the timer will automatically create a "Sleep Interruption" for you and allow you to track why baby woke up. (Visual of selecting the sleep interruption reason) When your baby goes back to sleep, you can happily tap "RESUME".
04:17 — Stats, Trends and All Feeding
If you're the type of person who loves to view and analyze data, then the "Stats" tab is for you! Here, you'll find an overview of important stats about your baby, along with visual trends. Tap a tile to dive into the "Stats & Trends" page for the (selected) activity. Here, you can view Daily Averages, detailed charts, and view hourly patterns. And of course, you can control your charts by tapping a point to view the daily amount, tapping a legend item to show or hide a series, or tap the magnifying glass to zoom in & pan.
You can also switch between activities or view them All together. And for those breast & bottle feeders, we've also designed an "All Feeding" section, just for you! From (the home page's) Menu, you'll find access to everything ParentLove has to offer.
05:17 — Activity Summary and Pediatrician Report
In "Reporting", you'll find all reporting options available from the "Activity Summary", giving you an overview of all activities tracked for a date range, to the "Pediatrician Report", ideal for your baby's next wellness visit. This report provides you with an accurate and reliable summary of your baby's daily stats, taking the guesswork out of your sleep-deprived mind. A real lifesaver!
05:44 — Reminders and Milk Bank overview
"Tools" include such important features, such as "Reminders", by far the best of any app, which allows you to easily set a customized schedule that can be shared between providers, allowing you to set the perfect caring system for your baby, especially when taking turns. "Milk Bank" is where you can keep track of your stashed milk and set your pumping goal.
06:09 — Caregiver sharing
And last but not least, "Sharing". One of our most loved features that allows you to invite as many providers as you want to share your baby's profile. A member can view and record activities while having them instantly and reliably sync across all devices. You'll never have to ask, when was the last feeding or diaper change? You'll always just, know! ☺️
06:38 — Customize your child’s profile
You can also have fun in "Settings" by customizing your baby's profile. Selecting from Color and Background Images for Day & Night mode. (Illustrating how to select custom, child specific color and background image for day & night mode.)

00:00 — Welcome and what to watch first
Watch this part: iPhone · Android
Hi there! We are so excited to see you all set up and ready to use ParentLove. To help you get the most out of ParentLove, we have created a Getting Started video for you, full of tips and insights to get the most out of your new baby companion app. In order to ensure that you get the most out of this video, please be sure to have watched the previous Overview video.
If you haven't, we have included a link in the description below. So let's start. In the Overview video, we learn how to easily & quickly record your activities.
00:43 — Entry times and History
Watch this part: iPhone · Android
In "Add New" mode, the Date & Time default to now, but can be changed if needed just by tapping. You may have noticed a second tab in each activity named "History". This (History) tab, lists all entries recorded for the activity, sorted by the most recent first. If you need to modify or delete an entry, this is the place you want to be.
Just tap on the line to enter edit mode, where you can add, modify, or completely delete what you saved.
01:26 — Add your own Reference Data
Watch this part: iPhone · Android
Another great feature of ParentLove is the ability to add your own Reference Data. If you're wondering what the heck is Reference Data? Well, it is data which can be selected from a list. For example, a bottle's content, the introduction of a new solid food, a rare reaction, and so on. Every time you come across a preset selection, in this case, the bottle content, you can always add your own data by tapping on the plus sign on the top right corner of the screen.
Enter the name and save. To change or delete an item, swipe left on iOS or Tap & Hold for Android. Pretty cool, right?
02:19 — Glance: recent hours and Today
Watch this part: iPhone · Android
One of our favorite tool is "Glance" (tab), since it really highlights your baby's daily routine by activity in an amazingly intuitive way. For your convenience, the (time range) drop-down allows you to select a desired time frame ranging from "Last 12 hours" to "Last 48 hours". There is also a "Today" option, which begins at midnight and ends at the current time. Lastly, tapping a tile will display a pop-up for quick access to "Add New", "View History", and "Add Reminders".
02:58 — Shared reminders and notification windows
Watch this part: iPhone · Android
Reminders will allow you to set Daily or Recurring reminders that can be shared between providers. You can set it according to your baby's needs, but each provider can also customize when to receive the reminder notification. For example, a three hours recurring (after last recorded) bottle feeding reminder, active from 4 a.m. to 11 p.m. and having baby on demand during the short break where I want to be notified from 4 a.m. to 5 p.m.
My partner will then customize his own reminder notification settings from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. As you can see, this becomes very handy when taking turns while caring for your baby, allowing you to only be reminded when you are in charge.
03:56 — Journal: view and edit entries
Watch this part: iPhone · Android
The "Journal" tab displays a list of your activities, sorted by most recent first. Tapping an item here will allow you to View or Edit the details, just like in "History".
04:10 — Menu and child profile settings
Watch this part: iPhone · Android
"Menu" provides you access to everything ParentLove has to offer. In "Settings", you will find lots of options to personalize ParentLove and make it yours! Tapping your baby's name will open up their Settings. Here you can select their Color, Background for Day & Night mode, and enter or adjust their birth vitals.
04:35 — Night mode and Main Page settings
Watch this part: iPhone · Android
Night mode will allow you to match your device's settings, if available, or set your own custom schedule. In "Main Page" settings, you can choose which tab will appear after you open the app or after you "Save a new activity". Customize what happens when you "Tap a Glance item."
04:58 — All Feeding and activity filters
Watch this part: iPhone · Android
Show or hide the "All Feeding" tile (on "Glance") when using more than one feeding type, such as Bottle & Breast Feeding. You can also filter which activities are displayed on Glance, Journal & Stats.
05:13 — Breastfeeding Intervals setting
Watch this part: iPhone · Android
In "Activity Settings", you will find "Breast Feeding Intervals" (OFF by default), a feature that enables deeper tracking of your breastfeeding sessions. For more info about this unique feature, please watch our breastfeeding tutorial.
05:28 — Pre-filled entries and measurement units
Watch this part: iPhone · Android
The next three settings allow you to enable or disable pre-filling of fields when recording a new entry, such as "bottle feeding amounts & contents. and "Measurement Scale", which allows you to select your desired scale (eg "English" or "Metric").

00:00 — Nara Baby alternative: introduction
If you’re looking for an alternative to Nara Baby, but you’re concerned about starting over from scratch and losing all your data, ParentLove has you covered. My name is Anthony and together with my wife Donatella, we have created the ParentLove Baby Tracker app. We’ve been helping parents since 2012 and we have free daily activity tracking and free sharing and customizable reminders and much more. But what we wanted to do was just take a moment, show you about the app, show you how easy it is to take your data from Nara, put it directly into ParentLove within seconds.
00:43 — Export your Nara Baby CSV
So the first thing we could do is just getting overview of How do you get your data out of Nara? Well, the first thing you’re going to want to do is you’re going to want to open up the Nara Baby app. And at that point you can tap on the avatar that’s in the upper left-hand corner of your baby’s name. Then you want to scroll down to the bottom of the settings and you want to choose Export Data.
And from there, save that exported file to your device, your phone’s drive. After you do that, then what you can do is you can go to the app store, you can download ParentLove and I’ll show you exactly what happens in there.
01:17 — Import into ParentLove
Welcome to ParentLove. In here, you’ll see your favorites, which you can customize to suit your needs. So you only see the activities you want to track. And the first thing you would do is you go into menu, you go to Tools & Learning. Then you want to click on Import Data. And from here, you go into the Import Wizard. This is going to walk you through the steps of what you need to do to take your Nara Baby data and put it directly into ParentLove and pick up where you left off.
So after the instructions, you’ll see that you have where you can select your child. Our ParentLove supports multiple children that you can set up in there. And you’re going to click on “Select Nara CSV”. This is going to open up your phone’s drive where you can select the file you just exported from Nara. And at that point, ParentLove is going to go and process them. And you can see that already processed it.
That was 500+ activities processed, done like that. And you’re going to see a list of all the activities you have. And you can decide if you want to import an activity or not. At that point, you can click on “Begin Import”, and 605 activities already migrated directly into ParentLove. This is going to give you a little overview of what you need to do next and give you a list of everything that was imported so you can see that everything’s fine.
At that point, you just tap “All Done”. And that’s it. You’re all done. That’s how fast you can literally go from using Nara into ParentLove. At that point, you can go to the main page. And I think I’m going to pass it on to Donatella so she can show a little bit more.
02:46 — Favorites and getting comfortable
So right now, I want to just give you a brief overview of how ParentLove looks and works. Because obviously, Nara, ParentLove, two very different apps. And let’s face it, changes are not fun most of the time. We don’t like it. But there is a good news. Change doesn’t always mean having to giving something up. Sometimes it means finding something new and maybe better. So let me show you what is the flow of ParentLove and what you can see.
As mentioned, I show you already Favorites is the tab, that will open when you open your ParentLove app. This has been already customized during your onboarding. But this doesn’t mean that you cannot do anything in here. You can at any point change and customize this page by tapping on the “Edit Favorites” tile, the little star. And here you can select or deselect any activity that you want to change. You can actually even sort and show the activity that you use the most at the top of the page.
You can do this also for the Glance Tab and the Stats Tab that I will show you in a minute.
04:07 — Log activities and view saved history
So when you’re in here, super easy. The purpose, the goal of the Favorites Tab screen was to make saving activity fast, quick. You open the page and you say, OK, I want to record a diaper change. You tap the Diaper Change tile and here we go. You’ll notice every time you open an activity page, we have two tabs in there. One is “Add New” and the other one is “History”. History shows up every time you have saved that specific activity from the most recent one till the first activity recorded.
There is no paywall, you can see everything for the first one. So going back to Add New, saving activity is very easy and it can be super fast, as fast as two taps. In this case, every time you open the activity, date and time default to now. If you need to change it, easy tap, you change the time, whatever you want it to be. And at that point, for example, we select “Wet” and we tap on “Save”.
That’s all.
05:16 — Glance: activity overview and reminders
When you save an activity, the app normally opens up in the Glance Tab. Glance is a very particular Tab. It’s a unique tab that just ParentLove has and basically summarizes in a snapshot the 24 hours of your baby’s life. This is super handy, especially at the beginning when we need to track how many diapers the baby had or how many times the baby breastfed or the ounces. You get everything that you need in one page.
This tab also allows you to see if you have set a reminder, what is the time due for the activity or if for by any reason you had a past due. Every time you tap on any tile, you have basically a shortcut of going to “Add New”. So just add a new activity in that specific spot, “View History” of the activity or “Add Reminder”.
06:18 — Journal and editing entries
The other tab that I want to show you in the main page is “Journal”. Journal is, as you can imagine, the diary, the journal of any activities that you have recorded for your baby from the most recent one all the way back, up to 14 days. This is not paywall, it’s just because we don’t want you to scroll over and over. If you want to go back to an older activity, older than 14 days, you just go quickly in the History of the activity and you can see everything.
In here, as well as in the history, every time you tap in one specific activity, you can go in a “View/Edit” mode and if you notice that you made a mistake, like in this case there is no session length or whatever, you can just give more information and here we go. “Done”. OK. “Apply Changes” and it’s all set. So you can very easily add old activities, modify the activities that you’ve saved very, very quick.
07:19 — Stats & Trends: free and paid options
The last area that I want to show you in the main screen is “Stats” tab. In here, you’re going to see all the kind of stats and trends of the activity that you’re looking for and what’s interesting about it is like when you tap in any activity, it will open up the Stats & Trends area. In here, it’s really when you’re going to learn your baby’s trend and patterns. In this specific case, you’re going to see that “Daily Averages” are in the data range of the last seven days.
This is because what we are showing to you today, also the layout of the app, is the Free version of ParentLove. Everything that you are seeing comes with what you are right now having in with you with the ParentLove Basic. If you want to expand the trends and the stats, that’s an upgrade. Activity, in this case, is Sleeping but you can quickly toggle between activity just tapping on the activity area and selecting the one that you want to analyze.
First part is very numeric, so it’s averages, but gives you a good understanding also on how your baby is doing in regards to amount of sleep, about ounces per day, and count of breastfeeding session, and so on and so forth.
08:40 — Sleep learning and reminders
In this specific case, sleeping also shows something interesting that is a banner in regards to what we try to monitor for “Awake Window” and “Total Sleep Time”. I am a Certified Pediatric Sleep Trainer and you will see also in the activity “Sleeping” a third tab. So you have “Add New”, you have “History”, but you’re gonna also add a “Learning” tab. Same thing is for Breastfeeding. In there, I try to give you some information, some guidelines in this specific case regarding sleeping and what we are trying to monitor in order to help our baby in their physiological needs.
So these areas have banners that are obviously related to your baby’s age where we want to see the awake window be more or less coming, right? We want to have the awake window showing what is the baby’s needs to go back to sleep. Something interesting about it is that ParentLove also allows you to set reminders that are directly connected to the awake window, so you will be able to stay more in sync with your baby needs.
And you can set the reminder, for example, of 1 hour and 15 minutes baby has to go to sleep within, for example, the four weeks of age. The more you scroll down, the more you see different kind of pattern, including the “Hourly Pattern”.
10:16 — Caregiver sharing and customization
And last thing that I want to mention is in regards to the menu area. In here, you can find all the different activities that you can record in ParentLove, “Reporting”, “Sharing”. This is where you tap and you invite family member care providers to join your baby’s profile so everybody can stay in sync with your baby’s needs. In this case also, the settings area is very interesting. ParentLove is very particular because it allows you to truly make the app yours.
So you can customize the app according to your needs, from the color of your baby’s profile, to the background picture, to something more intense, like even the way the app opens up. You want Favorites, you want the Glance tab, you want the Journal, you can choose it. So you can go over, scroll, see what you like, what you don’t understand. And if you don’t understand something, please feel free to reach out to us.
11:25 — Imported notes and one-time upgrades
Thanks so much, Dony. So obviously your time is precious, but there’s three more things I want to tell you. Number one is that when you import your data from Nara, it will also include all of your notes. Number two, everything we displayed there was all the free version. We do have upgrades, but all of our upgrades are just a one-time fee. We also have a Pro package which includes everything. It’s a one-time fee for lifetime access and NO Subscriptions.
So you don’t have to worry about, I don’t know how much this is going to cost in the future.
11:55 — Privacy: AI features and your baby’s data
And lastly, privacy, something that’s really important to us. ParentLove does not have any AI chatbots or generative AI features that use your baby’s tracking records. And we never sell the data you log about your baby. That’s it.
12:13 — Questions and support
Thank you for your time. And we hope that this information was helpful for you. If you want more information, you can go to our website. You’ll see a banner at the top for importing your data. If you have any questions, like Dony said, you can go to Care@ParentLove.me. We wish you Lots of Love. And if you ever have any questions or anything, we’re here for you. So thank you. Bye bye. Bye.
